My Interpreting Coach founder and co-instructor of this course Kelly Varguez is a native English speaker schooled in languages and teaching. Her studies of literature and grammar in U.S. and Mexican universities have helped her develop high proficiency in Spanish. She adores her job as a state and federal court certified interpreter and enjoys spending her days dreaming up ways to help speakers of all languages develop the skills they need to earn certification and launch their interpreting careers.
Dr. Pia Arboleda, co-instructor of this course, is the director of the Center for Philippine Studies and the coordinator of the Filipino and Philippine Literature Program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is an experienced Filipino translator and language proficiency evaluator who has worked on numerous projects to advance Filipino language instruction across the globe. She enjoys helping Filipino speakers polish their language skills and develop the vocabulary they need to serve their communities as certified interpreters.
